Component face-off dls/hat

Postby threeplumes » January 25th, 2014, 3:35 pm

need to get a new set an i have narrowed it down to the two options
so far i mite give the dls a +1 for the t25 and a +1 for the qts of .7(which should give it a better low end response in a basic door install.
anyone have any info to share

I would say that based on listening to the HAT and i think the older version of this DLS, the HAT will have the edge as it can get pretty loud and still maintain a decent composure of sound. On the other hand the DLS will come with a gorgeous fancy passive network...but... the HAT's actual speaker and tweeter build looks more robust. The phase plug is a plus on the HAT also. I might go with the HAT if i had to choose.

I would go with the HAT as well, look for the local review thread on them on MK's forum. Lots of local listening impressions from that dealer hosted event.

I was impressed with what I heard.
