Hello,
team adt do laugh eh but when u say in a high efficiency box what exactly do u mean
do u mean a box tuned high
When I say high efficiency, I don't mean high tuned. There are ways to get a sub woofer very loud with great response. There are many different enclosure types available for your use.In different vehicles, different enclosure types will yield much different results. For example, normally you can have a enclosure low tuned, but it can't really get that loud.On our side, we would use a different type of enclosure for the application, which would generally give you much more output versus it's frequency range.
The high efficiency enclosure concept is one where the box is based on the frequency response of the vehicle itself, it in turn uses cabin gain to get the most possible out of the selected sub-woofer.So therefore you can now manipulate a box to play from thirty hertz to one hundred hertz with very little audible peaks or drops, while the box is still tuned around fifty hertz, which according to old theory should only be able to play higher bass.
Yes, we have working examples of this, people who have heard our past competition based vehicles and current daily driver vehicles can attest to it, after being fully convinced.
Hope my explanation helps,
Team ADT
