wrong forum THE SYNDICATE.
but as far as I know there wont be other colours of black light, the black light is a ultraviolet light that gives of light in the lower frequency range of the uv portion of the electromagnetic spectrum.
the uv range falls right outside the limits of what the human eye is capable of seeing, if the light was to be of a higher frequnecy you wont be able to see anything from the light, the frequency of light taht the bulb gives off is near the viloet range of the visible light portion so it seems a bit purple.

I hope you not considering putting one of these in your car, you know uv light damages genetic matter right?

While "black lights" do produce light in the UV range, their spectrum is confined to the longwave UVA region. Unlike UVB and UVC, which are responsible for the direct DNA damage that leads to skin cancer, black light is limited to lower energy, longer waves and does not cause sunburn. However, UVA is capable of causing damage to collagen fibers and destroying vitamin A in skin.

scroll down to black light, second paragraph.

uv light is used for sterilization of some foods & as discinfection in wastewater treatment, it is used in the beetham wastewater treatment plant.

see how simply they said in that article that uv light damages genetic matter and causes skin cancer, its not so simple, it has more to do with the harmful things we put into our bodies, their distribution in peripheral tissues, and then uv light acting on them to cause mutations which lead to the cancer.

What about trying a deep purple light instead?
I'm sure there are knock offs of UV lights available.
It should give you a close effect without exposing you to too much UV.
