GA15DS to GA15DE?

Hello fellow tuners, currently have a GA15DS (Carbureted) installed and wanted to go fuel injected. Upon watch a GA15DE (Fuel Injected) I notice it's basically the same engine only difference is the intake...one has a carbeurator and the other has a fuel injected rail...wanted to know if I get the complete intake also the brain and harness, would there be any additional modifications needed?

Distributor has to change as this runs the injection. They have changed in the years so harness will be specific to this. Honestly if you can get a complete engine this would be better. At least a complete bad engine as your are going to attempt to use your head and block.

Noted. Just want to be have everything required to complete....or would you recommend just swapping to QG?

QG, newer engine and more readily available than GA.

Stick to the GA15DE or GA16DE. Or if you must, a QG15/16/18 without the e-throttle. That and a good electrician and you good to go. I'm interested in finding out if the axle remains the same and if any mods was done to the mounts.

I did that conversion already and so far its working very well...not complaining. You will need

Head
Brain(complete)
Fuel pump
Distributor
Intake

All material cost me around 2k, electrician took $400 to wire and my mechanic did the job for ah $350(I was the apprentice)
