end up running him....eat cut ass for about 5 car lengths den because of CVT the rev stayed at a constant 6500+ rpm (din use tiptronic ..not using it till I get a transmission oil cooler) and I catch him and start to give him back a few lengths well

You should get those JimWolf ECU for the VVL, i saw someone rev to 11,000rpm using the 1 and 2 on the auto tranny (that came off from a SR20DE).

Because the SR16 has a more aggressive cam profile than the 2.0vvl, and can safely rev higher than the 2.0vvl.
So the SR16 feels better but lacks power to the 2.0 (obviously). The SR16 N1 would perform better than the 2.0vvl though.

Revs don't equal more power.
SR20VVL parts are easier to locate also. That's good enough reason for me to go 20 vs 16

I would like to ask you to research that better.
If the t value in your equation is zero.... You can have 10000Rpm and make zero power
Revving needlessly.

na man....the springs and what not ...not built to cross that 7200RPM without possible damage. Only way I doing that is if I put in performance cams etc

You will need more than that and the sr weaknesses are well documented
The tans cooler is a good addition to your car as it is though:smile:

Rambo88 in all honesty the box on a VE from what Ive actually tried allows more aggressive take off than the CVT tiptronic....but at the end of the day the 5 speed box ppl use were built for the DE...the tiptronic 6 speed was designed for the VE and I can tell u 6 gears with CVT tiptonic not goin less the 6000 RPM...is as good as the gearbox.

Kamkazi . lol yea that and more 10,000RPM is heights

I have an oil cooler at the moment I got off my bro in law primera cuz he went manual
I jus bought one before -_- so I tryna sell the new one.
