some renaults also have GA16's. really think nissan may be the easeist / cheapest swap.

DITTO my padnah put a GA16DE in a renault megan and definitely it fits in with no problems...

Can u link me with a contact to this guy cause i tryna get my rennie fix up this month and i was gonna rebuild the tranny but if i can change engine and done i prefer to go that way, i just dont wanna loose the speed cause the megane have reallllll pep with the original engine

Really hope you didn’t start this conversation,

If its a Megane II, the problem you’re having is most likely the two pressure solenoids on the valve body or the pressure sensor under the transmission. This transmission does not require rebuilding. (Message me with the issue and I’ll guide you)

Note, once you start to cut wires and alter the car electrical, you will lose most if not all functions as it uses a UCH to manage the electronics.
