Please recommend very good tyre for Toyota AXIO

Postby sls » August 16th, 2020, 11:33 am

Good Day All.
Looking to get some new tyres that are a bit more quality than the average cheapo. Someone suggested Kumho and Nexen. Looking for opinions on this an other quality brands.

Manufacture spec for tyre is 175/R65/15.

Where in South can I get these quality tyres?

Also what tyre pressure PSI should I be using on this spec'd tyre? The manufacturer recommended is 230 kpa...but that is 33.x psi which seems too high to me.

debe penal stretch will get u econo tires though some are ok

kumho = decent , nexen is econo

for some better brands check mileage mack by golconda connector road or federal tyres on cipero street

i have a fielder which is like an axio , 33psi or anything above 30 for me is way too high , car will ride stiff & bumpy , i like 28 even low as 26 will work too

btw even though ur car says 175/65/15 it will easily hold a 195 , i actually have 205 on mine .... a lil more tire = a lil more grip

Not sure what part of South you looking for tyres. M. Ramrattan and Maxxis tyre centre are located in vistabella not to far from each other. Firestone, Maxxis and Dunlop are my brands of choice for mid range tyres.

Usually as you go up in tyre size (more rubber) you can go down with the pressure you put in them and vice versa.

Thanks for the responses so far.
How much should I expect to pay for the good tyres?

What are you looking for in a "good" tyre exactly.

Longevity?
Grip?
Ride quality/comfort?
Low noise?
Strength?
Etc.

I'm going to assume safety means grip in all conditions that we experience, and tough enough to take a beating.

I'm partial to Maxxis and Firestone. I advise increasing the tyre size slightly to improve grip

Something within reason
Like a 185/65r15 or 195/60r15

There are now euro tyre labels which give a rating on wet grip as well as the old traction and temp ratings. If you can get A's take them
