Re: Engine light

Firstly you should get the van scanned for errors seeing you getting a cel. GDI priniciple should be the same whether in a van or car , i had that same issue with 4g15 gdi and it ended up being the air flow sensor. clean throttle and iacv if you have,Not sure about pajero but 4g15 gdi doent come wit...

Re: "No Stopping" Ticket Advice

I would contest 1. You have a valid case( depends on the magistrate attitude on the morning ) 2. Majority of the time the officer issuing the ticket is a NO show ( happened to me twice, once you dont mind going to court which is kind a waste of time when these boops dont show up) 3. In the event you...

Re: PC trouble

this sounds like faulty ram, reseating works sometimes not all. Firstly the cmos battery is a silver battery on the board that looks like a big watch battery, remove power cord, remove battery and reseat after 10-15mins. This doesnt sound like your problem. When you turn the pc on is there any sound...

Re: Help!!! overheating problem CS3 lancer

same thing i hinted to you dominick, alot of mechanics assume and dont take the time to test.
Since you in there you might as well change timing belt and pulley. not something you want to go and interfere with for a long time.

Re: Help!!! overheating problem CS3 lancer

Re: Help!!! overheating problem CS3 lancer

Sounds lke the engine block clogged with debri from old radiator. Did you install a new radiator or foreign used? Over heating can be caused if the cores in the fins are dirty/clogged. Is the radiator fan coming on at intervals? Are you loosing coolant? Thermostat/thermostat sensor could be another ...

Boostjunkie what plugs are you using? sounds like another bad coil or plugs I once tried the iridium hot plug with my gdi and in a couple of months i changed two coil packs, since then i have gone back to the normal double tip NGK 5euc. The jerking and lost of power should be a result of the ecu not...

Re: HELP NEEDED !!! 4g93t GDI

BoostJunkie on your first read this sounds like a transmission related problem but as you just posted the codes i see you have P0425. This code relates to the exhaust re circulation temperature sensor (egt probe) and works in conjunction with the ecu and transmission hence the bucking and lost of po...

Re: 4G15 GDI Mysterious Problem

GDI doesnt carry a iacv as this is controlled by the ecu nor is it the fuel pump as the car would not be idling on at a stop. Sampson i experienced this recently, when the ac is on the car is under added load. My idle use to drop extremely low especially at a stop and cut off with ac on. One of the ...

Re: Waterpump issue... Plumbing Bantons...a werd pleax...

Yes ADONI this should be your first step.. York wd 40 is not used to lubricate, nor should it ever be , this is a common mistake ppl make and spray wd 40 on everything. If you ever looked at a D switch when its first purchased there is in fact some grease/oil that is used to lubricate the moving pla...

Re: Waterpump issue... Plumbing Bantons...a werd pleax...

adoni what are you really trying to do? From what you stating the tanks are full,so there isnt any lost of pressure in the lines so the pump will not cycle on. Have a visual inspection of the contacts of the switch(make sure pump is unplugged), if the contacts look burnt/damaged/low then replace the...
