leave the port and try removing some air 1st.. throw in some pieces of 2x4 / concrete blocks etc and keep removing volume until you get the desired sound, then calculate how much cu.ft you removed and well... personally, i'd just add alot more bracing to get out some volume and raise that tuning.. ...

the enclosures have to be identical (frequency tuning)...my brother tried this with 2 10 pioneer tuned to 45Hz with 2 12 pioneer tuned to 35Hz and there was cancellation at low frequencies....played loud at high frequencies...
