Re: Vehicles you should not race...

Hahahaha hahaha.

But agent, what about those rajs in the Hilux? How come they eh get knock?

Dem bling out Vigo with all the plastic accessories under the sun could surely out pace a Colorado. And doh talk about the Rocco. Isn't that a beast to contend with?

Note the part about "massive price increase". Imagine when this hits our shores... The legendary Hilux might surpass 400k.

Are the Troy bilt any good? If I'm not mistaken, the self propelled Troy bilt is a front wheel drive compared to rear wheel drive in the Honda. I'll look by allied as well as contact trintrac. I was looking for a reason to go allied so looks like I found that reason [emoji2]. I'll post up some price...

Reviving this discussion. Where sells Toro and Honda mowers locally? Looking for a self propelled walk behind. Also, can I import a mower? What are the requirements to do the same? Looking to buy a gas lawn mower. Any recommendations? Any brands to stay away from. If it is a typical walk behind, nea...

Re: Building a house in Trinidad

There is no way that's a real cost. 10 years ago when I built my fence, which was concrete foundation, full walls in some places, full columns in some places, pockets for iron work and 2" posts for chin link set in short columns and a running length of about 400+ ft, material and labour was abo...

Re: Building a house in Trinidad

That is a subjective question. Read my post a bit earlier. Some people will be satisfied with cheap concrete for what they need. Others will be willing to pay a but more for something that's guaranteed for its strength. Plus, consumers cannot discern quality by simply looking at the mix or working t...

Zoom. Your posts are usually very cynical and scathing at times and often make reference to taking bovines and also borderline on trolling at times. Re: Free led light bulb

Ent those bulbs with backup battery is a waste of time? I would think not especially if its a good brand such as GE or Philips. Practically though, they may be better suited for a lamp and not so much a ceiling or wall fixture. But the cost is a bit high so you may be better off with a regular LED ...

Sounds like you have some insider intel... Anything else we can look forward to? 4 bulbs gonna do nothing for me right now. All my bulbs have been switched out to LEDs years now. With the upcoming price hike from TTEC it'll take more than LEDs to reduce consumption. Hopefully with the budget there w...

Ditto. I use the Philips and the Hyperikon brand which I purchased from Amazon some years now. Slowly phased out the CFL at home to LED over about 3 years and now have a few more to get rid of once they quit. So far, I have had a good experience with the Philips and the Hyperikon. I also used the 4 ...

That's great. As I said, the reputable suppliers offer good service and these types of accomodations. I did all of my pours with central concrete...was very happy with their service. Re: Building a house in Trinidad

One thing again... Some suppliers also give discounts for repeat business or large quantities. So if you know anyone in your area or family needing to do a pour, get with them and try to negotiate prices. In my case in 2016, I did three pours totalling 25+ cubic metres. On my second and third pour I...

Re: Building a house in Trinidad

Believe it or not, some of the more reputable concrete suppliers actually guarantee their concrete strength and take samples for crush tests as standard. While this may not be of concern for your typical 3000 psi mix, for anything with a higher compressive strength, the guarantee, sampling and testi...

Fwiw. If you are in the market for a new pressure washer, I'd strongly recommend you check Ramlagan's in Balmain. Their business model is very different to the dealers. For example, and not actual figures, a dealer's markup may be 10% on purchase price for each unit and they may cater to sell 2-3 un...

I doubt it's aluminuim and would more likely be stainless steel. As a start, you can try stainless steel polish and some elbow grease. What is it you are referring to for 195k? Did TTTL ever gave us a pocket rocket before? Yarises in T&T have always been bargain basement econoboxes with those 2NZ-FE 1.3 engines. They are slow sellers in a contracting sedan/little hatchback market. Don't expect TTTL to waste precious forex bring...

Re: BBQ question to coal or not to coal

If you know a good welder, you can buy some welding rods which have the stainless steel core, knock the flux off the rods and then tack rods together to make the grates. It's a lil time consuming, but you'll get something pretty decent. That's how my cooking grates are on the pit I had made a few ye...

All this talk just to wear masks. Reminds a few years ago when they wanted to make it law to wear seatbelts. The older folks here would remember clearly. Re: Coronavirus - COVID-19 - 1645 cases, 19 deaths, 962 active, 664 discharged in T&T

I don't think anything wrong with this. After all, it's a deterrent. It's meant to make travelling in numbers in a vehicle difficult and in so doing restricting the possible spread. Trinis are harden. All the time, those in authority saying to stay home and avoid crowds. But Trinis do the opposite. ...

Re: Coronavirus - COVID-19 - 1645 cases, 19 deaths, 962 active, 664 discharged in T&T

I don't think it's donkey logic. The way I see it is In the first place it's a deterrent for families to go out in numbers, so keep the numbers out low and reduce risk of infection and spread. Also, if stopped by providing police, how are you gonna prove that the lady is your wife and the kids are y...

So one port of the valve is the water inlet, a second port is the outlet to the spray hose, but what will the third port be used for? Will you be using that to full the tank, in which case you'll divert water between the tank and the spray? Sounds doable. That's what I have. The second one is plumbe...
