Re: T3 Audio, RE Audio,Image Dynamics 12"subwoofer

W6 and W3 series had issues which had been corrected by now, any reputable dealer should have had them off the shelves a long time now, my rec would be 12w6, IDQ 12 , Fi Q or ascendant Havoc 12. choose your power now..

Re: How stage height is related to crossover points

Yeah its all phase and time, your experience confirms the basic theory i put forward. Just there is an absolute need for a crossover in an odd environment such as a car with multiple point sources to achieve great imaging, HT is soo much easier :)

Re: How stage height is related to crossover points

I hate crossovers" really because they complicate things when you try to run multiple sources of sound. If any at all I use resistors and caps..however crossover points affect your imaging from what little I know through phasing-you should know you have to deal with mechanical phasing-your pola...

Re: Fostex dealers?? know any?

Yep I know, but my friend only orders stuff from amazon, would've made life easier if i found a local dealer..sadly not much people see the value of full range so I guess they're not in demand, thanks however. Your dad probably got Fe206en's :D

Hi guys , I want to know if there are any dealers locally that I can acquire Fostex products, in particular their full range loudspeaker lineups.
Thanks.

I could not hold to read the entire article , but its one of the great high efficiency amps and honestly the pricing is very very nice, surreal really.., i'd say a buck per watt.

Re: Phasing Issues Becoming Phasing Helpouts!

If you want to determine your car's resonant frequency, the most common method is using a control woofer, say a small 10 or 12 in a sealed box -around 1 cube-with a relatively flat response. The process is then to run a sweep and meter the loudest reading is usually the res freq., however there is a...

Re: 'Upgraded coils' in yuh sub....Reeely???

I'm not a pioneer guy mainly of the fact of their hesitance to publish proper T/S paramenters and seem to play the wattage game, they have made some pretty good subs in spite of it but it probably was a gimmick for power handling not judging though, i don't have any experience with pioneer products ...

Re: 'Upgraded coils' in yuh sub....Reeely???

Oooh dude..Jacob your on ssa right?? Anyways i think what alot of people miss is the physics of added weight to their woofers cone, remember we're dealing with the simple formula F= ma. acceleration is what we are looking at if we're talking spl, this gives us a = F/m, in these cases force is our mo...

Re: Phasing Issues Becoming Phasing Helpouts!

I'm not sure about phasing in itself causing reinforcement which works in the system of driver and enclosure, however measuring peaks and troughs in a vehicle can reveal a lot for sq as well as a resonant frequency. Resonant frequency in cars however are not in the 20-30 hz region but rather maybe 4...

Jeez, this thread has a LOT of SHITTY advice!!!! If you want soundQ, then you need proper imaging and soundstaging and tonal accuracy. That being said, again with a focus on SOUND QUALITY, build a proper pair of sealed satellite boxes for the best quality 6 1/2" component set you can find. Get...

play 20hz sine wave..use the receptors on your fingers to feel air hitting it..:P
as for the sealed thingy...foam is permeable to an extent..however it is supposed to be** airtight otherwise your losing what little efficiency you already have.
