From: http://www.jlaudio.com/header/Support/T ... rts/656168 Multiple Ports There are two widely used methods for calculating multiple ports for a single chamber. Only one method is correct, but, unfortunately, it is the least commonly used. The first and incorrect method takes its thinking from the...

Re: single 12 choice

Re: Sealed or Ported (how to choose)

i don't like using bass boost, if the box response has peaks and dips the bass boost can be used to even out the response, but you need to set it properly to much boost does cause boomy bass.

Re: Sundown Audio SA-8 Box Help

With 3/4 MDF you don't need bracing also for that box the cuts would not be large as to flex. You can google Chris Torres box calculator and download it..it's the simplest and accurate one out. Also for port area go with 12-16 square inches of port area per Cubic foot of box volume. Stick to the rec...

Thanks guys, Freeware ARTA software looks like a try for me, looks simple enough.
I'll still look into getting the WT2, was looking at the WT3 but the "dead out the box" thing throw me off.

Re: Help needed with sub

Set the subsonic filter 5Hz below the box tuning, the Low pass Filter to around 100Hz, bass eq to zero..if no difference take the sub out the box and play it, gradually increase volume until it bottoms out and inspect the sub while playing.
