Re: Building a house in Trinidad

Tile expression and tile warehouse price and quality are pretty similar. Personally, I've found their tiles overpriced and expensive for what you get. Classic tiles is very good and have a range of tiles across the price and quality spectrum. However, there seems to be quite a variety of "cheap...

Re: :: The official TOOLS thread ::

Fwiw, I'd you're using the expanded metal for a grill on a BBQ pit, don't use the galvanized one. The heat from the flames deteriorates the galvanized coating which in turn releases noxious chemicals which can be absorbed into your food. Thanks Idrees have the zinc coated mesh which would suit my us...

Re: T&T OFFICIAL New Vehicle Prices & Discussion Thread

I had the same experience a few years ago with POS branch when looking at a Mazda. Plus their Mazda showroom is so run down and disgusting. Went to Southern Sales last year to view a vehicle. The showroom didn't have the model so the rep carry me to the yard. The vehicle was kept in a horrible condi...

Good to know man. More than ever I am thinking about taking the plunge to get one. It's no surprise that the bass from JBL is substantial. Their speakers are usually high quality as are their headphone. I'm on my second set of JBL ear buds and the sound quality is amazing. It's also surprising to kn...

Yeh Duane... The side speakers have a battery on them and plug into the main soundbar to recharge or can recharge using a micro USB. When detached, the satellites can be used as SL and SR speakers for a 5.1 true wireless setup. Got this recently, sounds good enough for my small room, plus the rear s...

I have bought one shower mixer and sprayer with hose (Delta), face basin faucets (Kohler and Pfister) and a kitchen sink faucet (Pfister) all online. In every single case, it was cheaper that what was available locally. The Pfisters were not available locally btw. You will likely not get these fauce...

Aeropost is great. I have been with them for going on 7 years. The rates for me are good. I joined a promotion a while back and still benefit from that even though it's no longer offered. $3.00 flat per pound despite the weight. Even though there are delays with customs, packages are still received ...

Not a cool comment. However, I pass that way regularly and passed about twenty mins ago. There are no potholes in that location. None whatsoever. On the westbound lane in the vicinity of the accident, there is a manhole cover that was paved around a few years ago. However, one could easily go over t...

Boodoo's electrical. I bought two 50W LED floodlights at their Chase Village branch. It is the Green Technology brand and is IP54 rated. It's a very good light and very bright. Easily illuminates a 30' X 30' area with overspill into a 60' X 60' area. I believe I paid about 400-500 for it, but can't ...

OP, I'm giving you some hard advice here, for your development and to prepare for the interview. If you are applying for a Graduate Trainee position, you are not an engineer. What you have, I presume, is a degree in engineering. This does not make you an engineer. The latter comes with years of expe...

Almost everything we buy is online. With the exception of groceries and most toiletries. Major Appliances and TV (when needed which is not frequently) are local primarily for warranty and as I don't want to chance buying these in case of damage or a dud. In almost all cases it's cheaper. I hate shop...

You can use all glass but may be limited by size and weight of glass pane. You will need a glass hinge. You will also need a magnetic catch to keep the door closed. Google glass door hinge... The TV's available in the US market will not be the same as our market. We fall under Latin America, so if you want a gauge of what ought to be here, you'd need to go on the Latin American websites of the TV manufacturers. The TV's across regions tend to have almost the same features except for a fe...

Wipe off the dust with a soft cloth. I've found that the swifter dusters do a pretty ok job. Then take a soft, damp cloth that has been tightly wrung to remove as much water as possible and wipe the screen to remove any finger prints or smudges. Then polish off with those small cloths that are used ...

I would advise that you do not chance this. If you are to ship a TV, it's best to ship it strapped to a pallet, especially for a TV that size. Most, if not all sea freight forwarders will not insure a TV unless it's palletised. And of course there is a cost to do the latter. A TV of that size is mor...
