Nice thread.........X2 knows what he is talking about. For those who want some protection from Knock and detonation when building turbo/N/A hybrids I can offer Thermal coatings.

Do you install the bushings yourself? Or is a shop doing it for you? P/U bushings fail for a very few reasons, the primary one being a lack of proper lubrication. Secondly,if the suspension is tightened up unloaded, the weight of the vehicle when placed on the ground will preload the bushing setting...

This Thread s old but if anyone needs info call me at 685-1716.
I have been coating engine parts here for about 12 yrs now.

Wraps cause metal failure because they absorb moisture as they cool. If your wrapped exhaust is used every day it will last longer than a system that is used infrequently.

I can relate to you. Someone who thinks on a different level. They would do themselves a world of good to read and try to understand. Cross sectional area change and loss of thermal efficiency is another topic....

You could just go check out Lo-Tec in Trincity. They have urethane in different durometers and diameters which can be machined and installed us in the original casings and sleeves in some instances.
