Re: US Presidential Election 2020 - Joe Biden's Murica!

The situation in the USA may soon find Guyana having to place sanctions on that country.
The unwillingness of the present administration to accept elections results in many ways resemble the attitude and disposition of those in power whilst Guyana executed its last general elections.

Re: All Things US Politics Related in a Trump run White House.

All these shenanigans being driven by the out going president and his merry bunch will soon just dissipate and the USA would have to pick up the pieces and move on. Unfortunately, with the administration in place being preoccupied with electoral crazy stuff many citizens are going to suffer the cons...

Re: Petrotrin refinery shut down

A possibility for fiscalisation of a state asset seems now to be going into limbo since the key players are descending into commess.
All this whilst time is taking a huge toll on people in need of employment and degradation of the asset may be occurring at a rapid rate.

Re: US election 2020 prediction - Eh.. Biden won tho!

With very close or razor thin majority in polls recorded in some states, recounts are mandatory. The question remains are the recounts to be done in accordance with established procedures going to gain Mr Trump re-election? History informs the prognosis and challenges before the courts are many and ...

Re: US election 2020 prediction

Mr Biden has moved to President Elect status and for Mr Trump the end nears. One wonders if the the man who is Mr Trump will provide scenes of screaming and kicking when he has to vacate the 'palace'. Dignity and grace in transition seems highly unlikely. Many would love to see him kicking and scre...

Re: Petrotrin refinery shut down

I have always found that the quality of work done by our present govt in order to implement strategic initiatives lacking and all kinds of issues were not given the attention they deserve. The result ends up being, at best embarrassment, need to rework and too often, a total collapse of deal, with l...

Re: Coronavirus - COVID-19 - 5764 cases, 110 deaths, 661 active, 4993 recovered in T&T

We seem to have settled into a pandemic style of living with an infection rate of about 10-30 and death rate not exceeding 1-2 daily. This may pretty much mirror our H1N1 experience over the last few years and we just came to accept this. In all likely-hood once the fear of the pandemic becomes emot...

Mail-in and absentee voting has been in existence as part of the election process for as long as I can remember. Florida, has the process down to a fine art and funnily the Gop sees no problem there.
