Re: Everything Smart Homes in Trinidad & Tobago

Anyone ordered from wyze recently ? I placed an order for the v3 cam last week, used the US address on my card and shipping address was to a skybox with Blue Sky. Wyze initially accepted the order then cancelled it 3 days later. I'm assuming it's because it was being shipped to a skybox. Anyone was ...

Mayers and Bonner showed a lot steel and determination. It's only 1 match and Bangladesh missed Shakib in the 4th innings, but I think we should persist with these 2 batsmen rather than continuing with failures like Chase, Hope, Bravo etc.

Jamaica running out of Ganja

Heavy rains followed by an extended drought, an increase in local consumption and a drop in the number of marijuana farmers have caused a shortage in the island’s famed but largely illegal market that experts say is the worst they’ve seen. “It’s a cultural embarrassment,” said Triston Thompson, chi...

Some good ideas here. I like the QR code suggestions. Only question is how to make it work for ppl who don't have data plans. We have to cater for the demographic who cannot afford to have data on their phones all the time.... those are likely to be the ones taking taxis as well. For those who say j...

I didn't remember what the timeline The Mandalorian was set in until I saw how much they de-aged Skywalker.

I'm wondering when next we'll see Grogu. Guess there'll be lots of stories to explain what happens after he leaves Luke's training and where he was during episodes VII, VIII & IX.

You know your currency is over valued when every economist and analyst in the country says the same thing. And when the IMF analysts have been saying it for years. Here's an excerpt from their 2016 Article IV consultation: This paper discusses economic developments, outlook, and risks in Trinidad an...

Re: Suriname Devalue Currency by 50%

When u realize ur exchange rate is over valued, the best strategy is to devalue in small increments every year until u reach equilibrium. That would prevent the country from reaching a state where u have to have a massive devaluation overnight. Dominican Republic used this strategy a few years ago a...

Re: Sou Sou Investment ?

The SEC won't register a ponzi scheme.
As for the name Drugs Sou Sou, it's not a coincidence that this sprung up at the same time when cash intensive businesses like bars, night clubs, fetes etc are closed and can't launder any drug money.

Re: Sou Sou Investment ?

There's no laws in Trinidad that make running a ponzi scheme illegal. It wasn't in the constitution the British left us and we never drafted a law about it. Only angle the govt can pursue is either charging them with fraud, or for violating the securities act, which says every investment must be reg...

Re: Any TUNERS want to put up and buy a Gas Station!

Crowd sourcing is a nice concept but not suitable here. Most people don't have the risk tolerance and long term time horizon to invest in a business which will be in a low margin, highly competitive industry. Some might want to sell their share if they don't get a 50% return in the first quarter.
